Incredible food and great service. Probably one of the best traditional Mexican Restaurants from Yucatán. Good ambience, family friendly, and the service was on point.

The absolute beat dining experience. Everything deserves more than 5 stars. From the personal welcome at the entrance to the final surprise dessert everything was spectacular. The food and service were top notch and the ambience is stunning. Gracias to all for making our afternoon very memorable.

Designed by the famous chef Roberto Solis and his partner chef Manuel Balan, Jayu is an exclusive Japanese food restaurant with Yucatecan touches, hence the name JA for Japan, YU for Yucatan.
The concept is a 10-seat bar in which interaction is created between the chefs and the diner.
We have 3 menus.
-Nigiris menu.
-Short omakase.
-Long omakase.
We do not share any menu as it changes constantly, as we depend on daily supplies for its preparation, which consists of fish, seafood, meat and poultry.

El Restaurante Kinich sigue luchando con la bandera de preservar la cultura del sistema alimentario mexicano vivo, sigue construyendo modelos efectivos de rescate gastronómico a través de la promoción y divulgación de los platillos típicos autóctonos de la península de Yucatán pero sobre todo sigue sumando a los cocineros y cocineras tradicionales de México a ser parte de las manos mágicas mexicanas.

I have been going to Kinich for about a quarter of a century. The food has consistently been excellent, the service impeccable and in an ambiance unsurpassed in Magical Izamal.

El Lagarto de Oro is a very good spot. Chill & welcoming vibe, friendly service (Thank You Carol), good beer list, and a delicious menu. We enjoyed their Salpicon de Chicarra con Pulpo a la Longaniza.

Good and service both excellent. It is quite a long way out of the centre of Merida (30 mins by taxi) especially in the evening rush hour. Music and videos on large screen tv’s can also be a bit distracting. We had the tempura squid and fillet mignon to share which were both excellently prepared, cooked and presented. Porfirios ice cream cart to finish was fantastic.
