Featuring two of popular Japanese authentic nabemono hot pots, Shabu Shabu and Oden, Guu Davie opened its door in Feb 11th 2019. Please enjoy authentic Japanese comfort dishes of twisted fusion oden to classic oden, simple kelp broth shabu shabu to carefully prepared flavourful broth soup shabu shabu such as tonkotsu broth and Japanese curry broth. Welcome to Okeya Kyujiro Our Omakase Experience is a chef’s choice menu consisting of seasonal ingredients mainly sourced from Japan. It includes approximately 25 courses with mostly sushi.

This was phenomenal. I was skeptical when booking about the cost ($325/person), but it was exceptional. The service was superb! The food was insanely good. Makes me wonder what a 3 Michelin star Japanese restaurant is like if this is only a 1!!! I felt they were at least a 2 star!

Oddfish is a Seafood and Vegetable focused restaurant. Ethically sourced and high quality ingredients are what you will find here with the focus being on the food - not the fuss. In regard to the wine list - approachable and interesting with a great price point is our goal. The atmosphere is casual and fun. We are a neighbourhood restaurant that others from outside the neighbourhood come to for that welcoming atmosphere. We are the same people who created Nook and Tavola restaurants.

JJ’s Restaurant is a Vancouver institution. Both the kitchen and front of house are run by students who are in their 2nd level of cook training. Enjoy a three-course a la carte lunch which is reasonably priced and produced with the highest level of passion and care by students with the guidance of their Chef Instructors. We went there to celebrate a birthday. It is so nice to go to a place and be able to chat and hear one another. The food and presentation was fantastic.

I went to this restaurant on a weekday at lunch time with a reservation, but I think we were the only group with a reservation, and there were few more seats left. I ordered a set with one onigiri, salad, miso soup and 2 side dishes (sashimi and Japanese omelet) for $23. I decided to upgrade the onigiri with a flavor (takana mentaiko) for I think $4 additional price. The ambience is cozy, well maintained and lots of natural light coming into the restaurant. I had to drive around to look for a street parking and walk. Overall, I would highly recommend the restaurant!

I came here for a birthday dinner, and it was my first time visiting – what a fantastic choice! From the moment we walked in and were greeted, everything was absolutely perfect. The service was warm, friendly, and made us feel so welcomed. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Truly incredible fish, with perfect texture, balanced flavors. Highly recommend the black cod nigiri. The poached cod in broth was maybe a touch sweet. Great vibe. Great night out.
