- WWayneVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •684 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoCan’t say enough about Hasu!! Really the finest yakitori and small plates period. Even better than Japan from my experience of 66 years, born and raised in Yokohama……..spent lots of Yen post pandemic in the all kinds of raunchy, smoky yardbird hole in the walls across Tokyo but for some reason when it comes to chicken on a stick………I come back here!! It ain’t cheap but quality and skill of the master dude in the back of the house is worth the trip to Torrance!!More infoHasu Izakaya & GrillPrice: Expensive• Izakaya• Torrance / Carson•4.8
- HHectorLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined on 28 Nov 2024If you're craving authentic Japanese food, Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya in Alhambra is a must-visit! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an authentic vibe that transports you straight to Japan. I started with their famous Japanese meat skewers—absolutely delicious! The yakitori was perfectly grilled, with just the right amount of char and tenderness. The flavors were spot-on, and each skewer was a delightful burst of savory goodness. Next, I had the ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a great depth that comes from hours of careful preparation. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings (from soft-boiled eggs to tender slices of pork) really elevated the dish. It's easily one of the best ramen bowls I've had. To round out the meal, I enjoyed a glass of cold sake. It was smooth and refreshing, a perfect complement to the meal. Overall, everything was great. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly without sacrificing quality. Whether you're a fan of yakitori or ramen, this place does it right. I’ll definitely be back for more!More infoShin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya - AlhambraPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Alhambra•4.6

We love taking people for their first yakitori experience because it’s so unique. As usual, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly and our guests were delighted. I highly recommend the pork belly wrapped shiso basil. We all enjoyed it so much that I ordered it twice!More infoShin-Sen-Gumi Robata & Yakitori – Fountain ValleyPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Fountain Valley•4.8
