Best Wineries in Virginia Highland

Capital Grille does not disappoint with its consistenty in food and service. We dined for my nephews birthday a steak treat for him each year. We had the lobster crabcake very light and nice, the caesar salad with anchovys and amazing croutons. I had the sliced filet with onions, mushroons and figs and he had the Kona-Crusted Strip with shallot butter. I loved the Sam's mashed and he loved the sprouts with bacon. We had a bottle of Benton Lane Pinot Noir and finished dinner with his birthday dessert of flourless cake and amazing cheesecake.

The food was amazing, the staff was attentive and professional, the atmosphere was chic, and I can't wait to return.

Wonderful experience. We used to go to the one in Charleston and we discovered the one here and this one here is even better than the one in Charleston. The food, the service, the ambience everything was wonderful. 

Nan Thai is an excellent Thai restaurant. Food quality is superb..service is wonderful. That said, it is an expensive restaurant! Diners beware!! Our dining experience was diminished by the add- on charges that were placed on our bill. We were offered still or sparking water. We chose still water. we were charged $6.00 for 3 glass of still water? A 20% gratuity was automatically added to the entire bill. Really!. Note: the 20% gratuity was based on the food cost of $263.00 + taxes of $23.41, +20% tip of $57.28 which brought the total to $343.69. I have been a restaurant waiter at various times during my life. I understand that tipping has changed. It was understood (until recent years) that the tip was based on a percentage of the total food purchased, not the liquor fee and the tax. I realize that in recent years tipping guidelines have changed. I normally calculate a 15% tip of the grand total food, liquor, and tax. To have an automatic 20% gratuity added to the entire bill resulting in a $57.28 tip was outrageous! I would have disputed the bill when it was presented, however I did not want my dining guests to be uncomfortable with the situation! Needless to say, despite the excellent food, good service I will not be returning anytime soon! I am not cheap nor do I like to be taken advantage of by add-ons of still water and 20% automatic tip added to the entire bill.

Everyone was amazingly accommodating. The game ran late and we had to move our reservation and they were great about helping us to get a table for our whole family. The food was out of this world. The building itself is beautiful. Thank you for a great experience.
