- JJeffVirginia •5 reviews5.0Dined on 13 Nov 2024A scratch kitchen, but more hit-or-miss than scratch-bliss. Some plates were very good--apps, especially--but other plates were overcooked and uninspired. Nevertheless, CH can claim a very well-priced wine list with decent and mostly mono-varietal house-brand bottles, ranging from predictable and crowd-pleasing to almost ethereal. I enjoyed the service here the most. Our waitress wasn't the most attentive to the table's needs; however, she was kind, extremely well-mannered, and understanding of our whims. And she was young. She was clearly raised with high-caliber, high-character values, and I applaud that. Overall, a lovely atmosphere for a mid-week date night, especially if you're budget-minded but want to test those boundaries just a smidge. But if you're offended by yet another generic "high-end Americana" menu, don't come. Or, alternatively, come for the very appealing front-end "cellar door" experience, taste a host of good wines, enjoy them for what they are, and tempt yourself toward a less insulated sense of culinary arrogance. If you can do that, you'll have yourself a damn fine Wednesday night.More infoCooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Waterford Lakes, FLPrice: Moderate• American• Waterford Lakes•4.7
