- DDaleWisconsin •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFirst timer. The menu was tantalizing, the service was extraordinary, the food was great - especially the ricotta appetizer, and the red sauce on our pasta and gnocchi was amazing - the Italian bread served us well, ensuring that every drop of that sauce was consumed. The staff are a team, and there are many and they are all working - it was fun to watch. The one "mistake" we made is sitting near the kitchen, because we were forced to see all of the dishes we didn't order come out - I am pretty sure I would find a way to eat here several times per month if I lived nearby.More infoQuartino - ChicagoPrice: Moderate• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.5
- JJenniferVIPChicago / Illinois •38 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoMy son’s 22nd birthday with my husband and his girlfriend. It was their 1st time, our 2nd. The garlic bread was so amazing we ordered a second one. The lasagna was the BEST I’ve ever had. I make a good piccata, but my son finished almost all of his dish! Chicken Parmesan was “fine” (get the lasagna).More infoil PorcellinoPrice: Moderate• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.7

I have just returned from Italy and I would say this food was very authentic. The calamari was exceptional and I’ve ordered it in a lot of places. I loved the ambiance and appreciated the quietness of the restaurant especially given that so many places thrive on a high noise level. We also enjoyed the music selection.More infoAcantoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown / Loop•4.8
- AAndyChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined on 24 Dec 2024Hawksmoor is a wonderful addition to Chicago's dining scene! We first discovered Hawksmoor several years ago in London and quickly made it a tradition to have Christmas Eve dinner at their Seven Dials location before returning to the States from our annual holiday trip. This year, our travels brought us to London earlier than usual, so we were unable to continue our tradition there. However, since Hawksmoor Chicago opened, we’ve had the pleasure of dining here several times, and we were thrilled to continue our Hawksmoor tradition—not in London, but in Chicago—tonight! Everything about Hawksmoor Chicago is wonderful—the food, ambiance, and service are all exceptional. The portion sizes are just right, and the quality of the steak and all ingredients shines through in every dish. In a city brimming with steakhouses, Hawksmoor stands out for being unpretentious, fun, and consistently delivering a perfect night out. We’re so excited to have this piece of London here in Chicago, and we’ll definitely be back soon!More infoHawksmoor ChicagoPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• River North (Chicago)•4.5
- LLisaChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined on 23 Dec 2024We came over to check in about 15 mins before our reservations and we were seared immediately. Everyone was so friendly and polite. The place was decorated beautifully. We love the fairies that come around to the table no matter how old you are. They were so sweet and make the experience even more enjoyable. Our waiter was wonderful so attentive, never having to look for him, always refilling our glasses and providing prompt and friendly service. Food came out quick and was very good. We never felt rushed. We were able to go by the tree and take pictures. It was just a fabulous time. We had our first experience there last year and now we’ve made this an annual tradition. We look forward to many more years to come.More infoThe Walnut Room - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6
