You soon forget that after you enter this charming bistro for date night or a double date. I highly recommend it for wine lovers, although other adult beverages are served. (I would not bring kids or even teens, since it's really not a family restaurant kind of spot, especially with the wine shop at the entrance.) The service is knowledgeable and friendly, and the food is delicious, if a bit pricey. You can dine tapas style or choose from several starters and entrees. We did the latter, but the former would have been fun too. The Christmas specials, based on the owner's mom's recipes, were a very clever addition to the menu. My only criticism is that the specials menu, which was printed on blue paper with a tiny font, was a struggle for me to read in the ambient lighting without turning on my phone flashlight like an old lady; consequently, I did not order anything from that menu. The Wine Whisperer is a winner and sure to be a local favorite.More infoThe Wine WhispererPrice: Expensive• Wine Bar• Henrico•5

- EellaVirginia •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoThis has been our anniversary spot. I also have celiac and some other allergies and the staff is very knowledgeable and careful. also want to give and honorable mention to the fries that are gluten free and probably the best waffle fries (my partner and I agree). we love this little spot!More infoBrambly ParkPrice: Moderate• Italian• Richmond•4.5

We both had appetizers and then dessert which was plenty for us two seniors . The only complaint was the noise level…it was really high and since my husband wears hearing aids it was hard to take. Food was fantastic!More infoCooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Richmond, VAPrice: Moderate• American• Richmond•4.4
- BBobWashington, D.C. Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoI keep going back to Hondo's because they always meet or exceed my expectations. Steaks prepared exaactly how they were ordered and the sides are well prepared and tasty as well, The Caesar Salad dressing is a bland and could use a little "kick". Wine list is good and cocktails are made correctly. All of this makes me go back to Hondo's.More infoHondosPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Glen Allen•4.6
