Best Wine Bars in Lenexa

The bar service was great. We arrived an hour early and sat at the bar to drink and have an appetizer. Appetizers were flatbread and meatballs! Both were excellent. When we were seated our waiter was okay at best. Don’t know if he was just having an off night but we could sense he just didn’t want to be there. When we were closing the ticket out we considered having another drink and he said well it would make my night easier if you didn’t! For dinner we ordered Steak, Lamb and Lobster between 4 of us. Steak was charred and over cooked & lobster was way over cooked! The lamb was good. We weren’t told they were out of broccoli so everyone’s plates just came with green beans. We asked the waiter and he said they were out of broccoli. Even though it was a mix up, the green beans were the best part of the meals! I think this night was just an off night because normally we’ve had good service and food!

Valentine's date night. Reservation for 6:30. Walked right in and was seated almost immediately. Having not been here before, (we are new to KC) our server, Noah, was fantastic, explaining the menu and sharing his favorites with us. He was engaging and knowledgeable. Ordered the Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer and they were fantastic. Followed that up with a shared Champagne Fish and Chips, and a small wedge salad. The fish was cooked to perfection. The chef uses a rice flour and, you guessed it, champagne to make the batter extra light and crispy. Topped it off with their house made Beignets which, I have to admit, rival anything you'll get in NOLA, including the infamous Cafe Du Monde - they are no joke, 100% legit! Happy we found this place. Everything was spot on. Will definitely be back!

As usual, the car pot sale and bruschetta appetizers were amazing. We also tried the Thursday special, which was a short rib, stuffed tortellini with a lobster shrimp, asparagus cream sauce that was to die for Yaya‘s never disappoints.

The happy hour is amazing. We had three dishes, all quite good, and three drinks… all for fifty bucks! The service was great, and it’s a lovely environment. We’ll be back.

It was amazing from beginning to end. Gaspar was the most professional server we've ever encountered. We enjoyed the lobster and crab cake, the KC Strip au poivre, and the seared scallops and lobster risotto. The blackberry sidecar was the cocktail of choice. The whole experience was luxuriously decadent, and Gaspar was wonderful to make sure our anniversary was so special. Thank you all!
