- JJermaineNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoVisited the branch on Valentine's day with my wife. It was very busy but the organisation of the staff was levels above. They handled the busy period with class. We had a booking for 10pm and was greeted by a member of the front of house staff. We were both handed drinks menus and offered seating while we waited for our table. Within a few mins the front of house staff placed us in a beautiful cosy part of the restaurant. It was my first time in Sticks N Sushi and so far the experience was so calming. The décor, created such a relaxing atmosphere and table and seating were so comfortable. We ordered the special Valentine's Koibito "the person you love" Menu, as it was our first time. It gave us the opportunity to try a variety of dishes at once. A very friendly and knowledge member of staff with short dreadlocked hair, helped explain all the dishes we would get, matching the description's to the photo. (a classy thought). The ENTIRE menu was so delicious, but the stand out dishes were: Starters LOBSTER & IKURA UDON Lobster bisque with lobster, ikura and udon noodles GRILLED EDAMAME Supreme soy & soya sesame KANI KOROKKE Crab croquettes with wasabi Caesar ------------------------------------------------------------- Maki SOFT SHELL Soft shell crab with masago & spicy sauce ------------------------------------------------------------- Desserts MATCHA Dark chocolate fondant with matcha core, vanilla ice cream & matcha cookie crumble ------------------------------------------------------------- A recommended place for an intimate meal with your loved one, especially if you love Sushi. The staff and decor really make this place, along with the food of course!More infoSticks'n'Sushi - IslingtonPrice: Expensive• Sushi• Angel•4.5

- SSamuelBirmingham/West Midlands (county) •1 review4.0Dined 3 days agoDespite there being a slight Valentine’s Day delay, the food was incredible, and the service was absolutely amazing. We sat right at the bar, able to watch the chef prepare the food, and it made for an incredible experience. The chef talked us through his work and experience whilst also sharing tips for our upcoming trip to Tokyo.More infoHanasaki Japanese RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Fitzrovia•4.8
- LLauraHampshire •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFood was ok, enjoyed most of the food. Service was brilliant and drinks were great. Would have been good if the person providing the pairing wine actually said what it was and why it was paired instead of just dropping it off and walking awayMore infoFlesh & Buns Oxford CircusPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Oxford Circus•4.6
- PPaulBuckinghamshire •1 review4.0Dined on 28 Jan 2025Excellent overall. We (table for two) chose the large sashimi set, which was tailored to our preferences (no octopus, thanks). Lovely, tasty, reasonable sized slices of sashimi, well presented, served in good time with the usual soy and wasabi condiments. We followed up with two plates of gyozo - four pieces on each plate, one set chicken, one vegetable, served with a vinegary sauce, delicious and altogether very satisfying. All food on display and the japanese chef/artist allowed me a satisfyingly stern bow on my departure. Prices are unsurprisingly very central London, if you are on a budget you might want to avoid the carafe of hot sake, but otherwise dont let that stop you from visiting.More infoKazuPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Fitzrovia•4.7
