- DDarrenGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoIncredible incredible incredible! Chef Monaco was a great host, entertainer, and obviously, a great chef. We came in a little before seating and he welcomed us in while he prepared the fish. He was very fun to talk to and the way he walked us through each course made this a truly educational and fulfilling experience. Furthermore, the creativity on some of the courses pushed the limit of my understanding of omakase and even fine dining. The cherry on top was that when my girlfriend covered herself with her shawl, Chef Monaco turned the thermostat up, showing a true care for his diners. This place is truly a gem with extremely accessible parking (huge parking lot behind the CVS) and while I’d love to gatekeep, everyone should go and try Akem. Extremely worth it! Great food, great vibes, and a great guy behind the counter.More infoAkame Nigiri and SakePrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Lexington•5

- RReneeGreater Boston •7 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoI’ve come here for my Christmas Eve Eve celebration for the last 4 years. This is the first time I had a different server and the first time there were only a handful of people. One thing I noticed was 2 servers helping everyone which is great for the team work, but confusing when you are waiting for service. Our server finally came after she greeted and got water for the table that was seated 5 minutes after us and she was distracted while doing so as we saw her stop at other tables and do a few other things before actually getting the water for our table. We were unable to order the Christmas drinks but she was not sure what ingredient they didn’t have to make it. We settled on a Christmas drink and then moved on to our usual drink choice. Food always awesome, service was just ok, but we will always come back!!!More infoFat Baby Sushi and CocktailsPrice: Moderate• Sushi• South Boston•4.6

The only recommendation I could make is that some of the vegetables (green beans and baby carrots) are swapped out for more desirable vegetable options such as broccoli or a broccoli casserole.More infoCafe Escadrille - Holiday BuffetPrice: Very Expensive• American• Burlington•4.7
