Best Sushi Restaurants in Doraville

The Halibut and Red Snapper were outstanding, and Katelyn was an amazing server who was very knowledgeable about the menu. It was very disappointing that we had 8:45 reservations, but we were not seated until 9:15. This was Valentines weekend, but I feel that a restaurant of this caliber should have been better prepared for the holiday crowd.

Nobu was an amazing experience, from the ambience to the music to food… Nobu was beautifully decorated only matched by its delicious food… I don’t drink but, mock-tail LYRE LIAR was absolutely tasty I believe I had about 3 glasses… something about the coconut milk and the pineapple juice 👩🏽‍🍳💋…..ohhhhh And the Wagyu Tacos 🤤 tiny delicious, buttery, juice , tender…. Coming back just for these alone. The Parmesan rice with truffle butter 🤯🤩🥳 was a flavor party in my mouth… it’s rich creamy, comes to the table sizzling and bits of mushrooms throughout. Never knew I needed something so 😋 tasty.

The sushi was expertly crafted, with high-quality fish that practically melted in your mouth. Signature rolls offered a creative twist without overpowering the delicate flavors of the ingredients. The hot dishes were equally impressive, with standout items like the miso-glazed black cod and tempura that was light and crisp. Pricing is on par with similar high-end sushi spots, making it a great value given the quality of food and overall experience. Umi proves that you don’t have to compromise when it comes to great sushi, excellent service, and a welcoming ambiance. Highly recommended!

We were there for a birthday dinner for our daughter, the waitress came in to take our order and said “all right, we’re gonna order drinks and food right away” as if we were being rushed through for some reason. The food was great. The chef fantastic. The waitress was very pleasant but treated a $290 meal like a fast food restaurant. We were done in less than 1 hour, definitely not a relaxing dinner. Thankfully we have kids and getting in and out was fine since it was a school night. It would be great if they could mop the multilayer thick cleaner residue off the floors so it doesn’t feel like I’m walking on top of the backside of a sticker and update the decor throughout, even just a little bit. There are so few hibachi places in atlanta that it would be nice to have one that serves a meal that has an experience worth the $290 we paid for it.

We opted to dine at the sushi bar rather than wait for our table and so glad we did. We were attended to very quickly. Our waiter was fantastic. Made recommendations and was very attentive. The sushi came out quickly and was very good. We’ll definitely be back.
