    Generally speaking, we're not steakhouse people. We tend to be more ethnic restaurants, neighborhood cafes sort. That being said, we had a wonderful dinner at the Chicago Chop House. Service was exemplary with our waitress, Grace, being knowledgeable, helpful, friendly without being intrusive. My husband's filet was melt-in-the-mouth delicious, I took a dive and had my first prime rib in 20 years (superb!), and the ambience just right for a steakhouse.

    My wife and I shared a New York Strip steak, asparagus and the chocolate mousse. All were outstanding. The steak was crispy on the outside and required very little chewing, perfect. The asparagus was great and there was enough mousse for 6 people, so we took a lot of it home for later. The service was spot on given the high price point. No complaints from us about anything.

    The tortilla espanola with jamon and blue fin tuna carpaccio were highlights for me. Though, if you've been to Spain, especially Madrid, and have had tortilla espanola or jamon ibérico, know that it will taste the same but at a significant premium. The fish and meat will start at about 1.5 lbs, which was good for 2-3 people depending on how many dishes you start with. Overall, everything was flavorful, which was a relief after reading some of the poor reviews. That said, it wasn't mouthwatering or novel. So if you're looking for a unique culinary experience that matches the price tag, and that you'll rave about for years to come, this may not be for you.

    Always excellent! For starters, please try the yellowfin tuna. For dinner we always get the spinalis (rib eye cap) and it’s amazing!! Honorable mention: fresh chip, onion dip and caviar starter! Amazing!
