At Millpond Gatherings, we are an all encompassing hospitality center where you can eat, celebrate, shop, and stay with us here in the quaint town of Northford, Connecticut. The Millpond Steakhouse, run by Executive Chef Pedro Avila, is a farm-to-table modern American steakhouse with a fine dining flare. Our dry-aged grass fed beef is sourced from our own cattle farm just 2 miles up the road, and accompanied with local produce from our surrounding farmers. Downstairs in the Tavern we encompass the spirit of historic New England with a cozy laid back atmosphere and weekly live music on Thursdays and Sundays.     This place was perfect! The ambiance was absolutely perfect, inviting, cozy, and just the right balance of elegant and relaxed. It set the tone for a great evening. Our waiter was super nice and friendly, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the meal. Their warm attitude added a special touch to the night. The food was the real star. Everything was outstanding, but the clam chowder and ribeye stood out as my favorites. The chowder was creamy, flavorful, and packed with fresh clams, while the ribeye was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. I can’t recommend this place enough. Whether for a special occasion or just a nice night out, worth every penny!

    We have never had anything but an outstanding experience at J. Gilbert’s. Always consistently excellent and lunch was no exception. They are only open for lunch in the month of December - wish it was all year!

    Best. Dinner. Ever. There is nothing on the menu that is not top shelf. My rib eye, while a bit fatty, is the most delicious ever. Nothing bad. Nothing even close to unappealing. Service is top notch. Second to none. Shout out to Janine - thank you. We save all year to make the trip to Mohegan and happy we finally had dinner on the restaurant side w the kids. What a difference from the sports bar side. If you can - treat yourself. You may have had the rest. Now have the best. Lookin forward to coming back next year !!

    The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and everyone was attentive but not overly so. We celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary there. When we arrived at our table it was laced with rose petals. Rachel, our server took our picture and we were given a petite cheesecake to share, which she put and lit a candle on. Very nice!
