- GGerardoLas Vegas •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoI don’t know what sorcery goes on behind those kitchen doors, but whatever it is I’m here for it! My wife and I went for a Valentine’s Day lunch date and we were both blown away by the consistency and quality of the seafood here. A little recap; this is one of the first restaurants we went on a date in 4 years ago and the only one she’s been craving since last year. The food is just as we remember it, if not better! We ordered the seafood paella as our main course and had 3 tapas ordered as the paella takes around 45 minutes to make (worth it!!). Pulpo asado. Fried calamari. Pork empanada. Sound simple, but they were far from it! The pulpo asado was so fresh the texture and taste were unlike anything I’ve had before locally. It was accompanied by roasted potatoes and this delicious sauce that just complimented the pulpo so nicely I never wanted it to end. I was expecting hard or crunchy pulpo, but this was different. This was soft, flavorful, perfectly grilled with a beautiful purple and black hue. I think this is my new go-to. The fried calamari was also unlike what I’ve had at other places. Not to sound like a broken record, but you can literally taste the quality in the texture of this dish. It is fried to perfection. The amount of calamari they serve you is also noteworthy. For the end (before the paella arrived) we had the pork empanada. Beautifully split down the middle and drizzled with sauce alongside a salad. It was tastebud heaven. I honestly think we would’ve ordered more had the paella not arrived sooner than expected. The flavors so rich and pork so tender, I’m getting hungry just from writing this. Last but not least we had the paella, which feeds 3-4 people. For us two it was enough with 1/4 portion each. Mussels, jumbo shrimp, clams, calamari, artichoke, roasted tomatoes all on top perfectly seasoned and balanced rice. Better than we remembered it. Skipping to dessert we had the white chocolate banana pudding. The cherry on top. We love itMore infoFirefly Tapas Kitchen + Bar On FlamingoPrice: Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• Paradise•4.7
- MMichaelLos Angeles •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoOverall a great experience. Food was outstanding, as expected given it’s Jose Andres. Service was professional, helpful, accommodating and friendly. Highlights: • Chu-toro (my favorite for sashimi) with quail egg. Phenomenal! • Po’ boy with oysters & ossetra • Fried dorado. In pieces including crispy skin, with a Tartar sauce to die for. The olives two ways was excellent and interesting, but for us more of a one-time experience. There are too many other items we want to try on our next visit!More infoBazaar Mar Las VegasPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• The Strip•4.5
- JJean-PierreVIPLas Vegas •54 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoA really nice surprise from a place that we picked almost randomly. We almost turned around as there is no light visible from the outside, but we were glad we didn't. EDO is very small, only a few tables, which adds a dimension of coziness. The staff is VERY attentive and interactive, including the Chef who checked from time to time with the waiting staff to gather reactions to the dishes he served. We gave him a thumb up, which was rewarded by him visiting our table and offering a dessert that was not on the menu (amazing Spanish cake with whiskey). If you want to find a place where you can hear yourself speak, with friendly staff, and superior cuisine, look no further.More infoEDO Gastro Tapas & WinePrice: Expensive• Spanish• Chinatown•4.8
