- RRussVIPHouston •63 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoSome of the best darn food I have had in years. The fried chicken, gumbo, potato salad and corn bread was so good. Service was good as well but be prepared to wait on your food since it is fresh.More infoWillie Mae’s NolaPrice: Expensive• Southern• Warehouse District•4.7
- SSonyaVIPHawaii •26 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe ate in the bar which can be noisy, but we had a nice little corner table which felt intimate yet was still part of the bar experience. We had the wagyu burger with fries and the brussel sprouts. Both were excellent!More infoCommons Club Bar & RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Southern• Central Business District•4.3
- KKevinNew Orleans / Louisiana •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoMaypop is one of my favorite restaurants. I always suggest it as a unique dining experience for friends or strangers I meet that are visiting New Orleans. You cannot truly replicate it anywhere else. I was born and raised in New Orleans and have lived in Singapore, so the concept of blending SE Asian and Creole/Cajun/NO Italian cuisine makes a lot of sense when you have lived amongst both food cultures. Maypop blends elements of these surprisingly similar cuisines in a non-gimmicky way by creating a third cuisine that stands on its own, but could not exist without the influences of the others. I'll stop typing — just eat the current duck with blueberry hoisin and collard greens dish and that is all you will need to know.More infoMaypopPrice: Expensive• Southeast Asian• Central Business District•4.6
- BBethNew Orleans / Louisiana •8 reviews5.0Dined on 25 Dec 2024Had a 7 pm reservation on Christmas Eve. Arrived early & went to the bar. Bartender was great & so were our French 75 & Old Fashion. We were seated by 7:30 which was fine since we could see they were packed & we were enjoying talking to the bartender. Gumbo was very good & so were the Lamb & Lentils and the Salmon. I could have done with more than 1/2 of 1 fingerling potato, but let’s face it, I really didn’t need it. Dessert was Bread pudding and Crème Brûlée. Both very nice. Overall a great, relaxing experience. Service was exceptional. We’ll return for their brunch for sure.More infoApollinePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Uptown•4.6
- MMalcolmNew Orleans / Louisiana •16 reviews5.0Dined on 17 Dec 2024Wonderful experience. Food was outstanding. Crab cakes, crispy turkey necks, sweet potato crumble, cornbread, chili glazed salmon, blackened catfish, smothered chicken, sautéed vegetables, collard greens. Service was spot on. We were pleased to discover that a few alcoholic drinks are offered in addition to beer and wine. Large dining room is airy and attractive. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but other parking available near by. Staff very welcoming. Excellent value. Will definitely return.More infoCafe ReconcilePrice: Moderate• Southern• Lower Garden District•4.9
