Best Southern American Restaurants in Claremont

Went specifically for the “Sippin’ Santa” holiday tiki cocktail popup experience. Unfortunately, the cocktails all seemed off. We ordered the Sugar Plum Mai Tai, the Choquito, we wanted the most important cocktail - the Sippin’ Santa - but they were out of it, so we ordered the Jingle Bird. These cocktails were not great and felt like the ingredients listed in the drinks were missing in several instances. Tiki drinks are usually bold and flavorful, these all felt watered down; missing spices, balance, and freshness. The food saved the evening because it was actually quite good.

Love this place, our go-to spot for getting a great meal every time. What sets the Jazz Kitchen apart is that with many restaurants you get an entre that is excellent, but then the sides are just adequate. But at Brennan's every single thing on the plate is great, especially strong on flavor. Just a delight.

Harrison was our server. He had a positive energy and made sure we were good. I hope we get him again. The food and drinks were good too. We had ribs, cinnamon cornbread, buffalo boneless chicken, slaw, baked beans, mac and cheese, and sweet potato cheesecake. First time there and will definitely be back!

The food was absolutely amazing! Really good service and everything we tried was fantastic from fried pickles, and candied bacon appetizer to burnt ends, brisket, steak, even the loaded, baked potato with chili. The whole family loved everything! Oh don’t miss the corn bread muffins!!!
