Best Seafood Restaurants in Pittsford

My husband and I had our Valentines Day dinner at The Cove and Bar at the Hotel Canandaigua. Our first course could have been better but fir a first timr trying it wasnt bad. I got a Brussel Salad the the Entrees they were good I got Duck and it had carrots and creamy polenta and James had a Filet with potatoes and Brocolini I tried it and I was good. Our dessert was Creme Brulee with fruit and shortbread cookie crumbs. It was something different to try and I think it was good

I’m dairy free and the chef was able to accommodate everything I asked for (I gave the waitress backups that didn’t require modification if my requests couldn’t be met but none of the backups were needed). The chef made chicken Marsala without butter, sautéed the onions without butter (s/he made them sooo good), and provided an alternate dip for the calamari that didn’t have dairy. Other entrees we got were filet, Delmonico steak, and Alfredo. Oh and mozzarella fritta and shrimp cocktail for apps. If you’re looking for that old fashioned giant delicious shrimp, it’s here. So so good. Cocktail sauce definitely has some bite too. All were delicious and the reason we chose to come here again. The only cons were we didn’t get bread (we had so much food anyway we didn’t really need it so didn’t say anything) and there was a cold draft where we were seated but again decided it was fine since we could see they were clearly very busy that night.

This was my fourth visit to Capitanos and it was amazing. It was valentines day and we got a reservation at the last minute. It was very crowded and we weren’t sure how the service would be with the crowds. The food was fabulous as always and our waitress was amazing. She was very attentive, making sure all our needs were met. She was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Everything, and I mean everything was superb. Our server, Kathleen, was the best. Very pleasant, quick to respond d - excellent service.

We have never had a bad meal at Nolan’s. We eat there 5-6 times annually. It’s a favorite for our special nights out. Last night was equally favorable with great service, a cozy ambience as we sat near the fireplace and a delicious and beautifully prepared meal. Our only concern (a first) was that the food was not served as hot as we anticipated. It was not cold or luke warm but not hot enough to last most of the meal. We did share that information with the waitress after the meal was over. We’ll absolutely return. It’s a well run establishment that provides a great dining experience.
