The vibe is great from the low lights on the white tablecloths covered with white paper to old movies showing on the wall & great music playlist playing low in the background. After enjoying perfect Manhattans by the bartender, Sean, at the gorgeous bar, we opted to have dinner in the piano lounge which was bustling and romantic accompanied by beautiful music throughout our evening. We had the amazing cacio e pepe, prepared tableside, and fantastic grilled octopus for starters. The rack of lamb was tender, perfectly medium rare, as ordered, and so delicious with red wine reduction, and, the wild dover sole in lemon sauce, filleted tableside, was superb! We finished the evening off with a to-die-for pear tart which was so so good! We enjoyed our chat with William Burris, Managing Partner, who was on hand to greet all of his customers and made us feel special. This was my third visit to Lucca and each time has been an incredible experience. We got sat promptly and our server came over right away. Even though it was crowded, we didn't feel neglected or rushed. We started with Caesar salad which was delicious. I ordered stuffed shrimp and hubby got the mix grill. Both were tasty and made well. We skipped dessert as I had made chocolate dipped strawberries. The waiter was attentive and took his time explaining the menu. Had the crab cake as an appetizer and the wagyu steak, as my entree. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. Dessert was complimentary. Ambiance was perfect and staff was extremely nice. Overall, a great experience and a great time.
