Our first visit to West Oak and we sat on the patio, which despite being chilly & rainy outside was cozy & comfortable -- and quieter than the main dining room. Appreciated the gluten-free options and the knowledgeable, caring servers. A special rave for the GF calamari - a fantastic appetizer that came with a generous green salad on the side, perfectly dressed. Our reservation was for 6:15 pm -- on the early side -- which worked out well for us as it was only at around 8:30 pm (as we were wrapping up) that the noise level on the enclosed patio became too much for a three-way conversation. The place was hopping at that point!More infoWestOak RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Yaletown•4.7

It’s definitely the best meal and service I’ve experienced in Vancouver in the last year. Happy to have stumbled upon it. Louis was personable, full of charm and his recommendations were dialed for both food and wine. His service was next level, and it was lovely to hear about how his labour of love came to be. He was attentive and extremely generous and insisted on comping our champagne and dessert for our celebration. The Brut from Cowichan Valley, marinated olives and Tofino King Salmon were definite highlights. We can’t wait to head back to attack the rest of the menu and wine list!More infoBravoPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Riley Park•4.7

- MMarcioSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoIf you’re in Vancouver and love fresh, beautifully prepared dishes, Oddfish is an absolute must-visit! This restaurant offers a seasonal menu where the freshness of the ingredients — especially fish and vegetables — takes center stage. The service is exceptional, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that enhances the whole experience. Make sure you try the ceviche, which is simply divine, and the salmon with its perfectly crispy skin, a true masterpiece of flavor and texture. Both dishes showcase how fresh ingredients can shine when skillfully crafted. With its relaxed atmosphere and a touch of creativity in the menu, Oddfish is the perfect spot for casual dinners or special occasions. Don’t miss the chance to discover this gem in Vancouver!
