The decor and ambiance in the wonderful old mansion is of quiet, cozy elegance. The staff are warm and welcoming and the service is superb. The cocktail and wine lists are lengthy and very intriguing. The reason that I have not given it 5 stars is that the food is mediocre. It's a bit of letdown that the food is not as amazing as everything else about the Hart House. This time we had the Hydra platter with lamb chops... perfectly done (medium, as the chef recommends) and deliciously spiced, as were the veggies. There were enough chops to take some home. We have had the chicken platter (also large portions), and next time we are looking forward to the Souvlaki platter which looks so good!
