Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Darien

The food was very spot on to the mission the restaurant has set. The floor and flow of the tables goes well either way how the restaurant gives out food.

Food was insanely good!! Highly recommend the short rib hummus, hamachi, lamb kefta, brussels, halibut, whipped feta, creme brulee pie, date cake. Desserts are decadent and DELICIOUS! Prices are a bit high given that these are small plates, but honestly it was worth every penny. My advice is to order a bit at a time. We put our entire order in at once and everything came out so quickly. We felt a bit rushed. The waiter did say that he would pace the foods, but the pacing was much too fast. It is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. We wanted to linger a little longer. Cannot wait to go back and try all of the other fabulous things on the menu.

We couldn't get a reservation for another restaurant, but after eating at Avec, my dad said, "We lucked out because Avec was better." Reviews were right that you have to get the dates and the short-rib hummus.

Excellent. Best Restaurant in the area. 4 different entrees all were great. Enclosed outdoor area very warm and lively. If desire quieter dining, ask to be inside.

Great food, good atmosphere. Really enjoyed our evening.
