We were seated immediately afterarrival. David, our waiter, brought us complimentary champagne because we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. I ordered an appetizer of 6 oysters, which were excellent. For the main course, I had prime rib (rare, of course) and my wife had steak frites, which was also good. The portions were large! For dessert, we split a crème brûlée, which we normally do at Alexamder's. The service was quick and efficient; the food was very well prepared and presented. Recommend this restaurant highly.

My husband ordered the duck & he said his was cooked perfectly - medium rare. The scalloped potatoes & veggies (green beans & carrots) were also delicious. He cleaned his plate. I had the smoked salmon appetizer which was good, not much different than what can be found in Costco or ordering online - it came with a lovely horseradish & dill sauce. I also had the crab, avocado appetizer which was more interesting. We had an early reservation which is what I prefer to eating later, but there were people waiting by the time we left around 6:30.

Our server, Adrian was excellent and attentive. The food was superb. We both had she-crab soup appetizer, and my husband had bouillabaisse and I had filet and crabcake entrée. We were both very satisfied. This is our second trip to Savannah and boars head and we will be back next year. Love it and how do you recommend !
