Food was excellent, our previous experience with the quality of the food always brings us back here to dine. However our service was disappointing: not so friendly waitress (rarity) and feeling rushed to get our food ordered and eaten. It could be that another very large group of people made this small izakaya a little stressed but nevertheless we were disappointed. We were a party of 4 with 2 guests from the mainland and so looked forward to this special dinner.

Every dish from starter through dessert was not only outstanding, but unusual preparations. This includes perfectly cooked salmon with a chili pepper sauce, the beet starter with creamy goat cheese, and a Thai peppery chocolate dessert. Even the cocktail special was unusual but delicious. Service was prompt and outstanding, and they left a pitcher of water on the table - a plus in my book.
