- JJillCharlotte •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe started with great cocktails followed by delicious food that four of us shared. We had sea bass, duck breast, pork buns, mushrooms, crispy potatoes, Maguro Heat maki roll. Everything was beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. - JJuliVirginia •1 review4.0Dined on 16 Nov 2024Great food and service. I live in the DC area and have access to fantastic, chic sushi restaurants, so when I compare, I do think the pricing is a tiny bit aggressive. Still, it was yummy, and I enjoyed myself. Think the downstairs dining ambience could benefit from a bit more…something. Still, I’d happily go back next time I come to town and have recommended it to my friends that live local. :)More infoBakuPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• SouthPark•4.8
- AAngelaSouth Carolina •1 review5.0Dined on 15 Nov 2024I've seen restaurants like this in movies and had no idea there was one like it in Charlotte. I came here the first time with a couple of family members and returned with my friends here for girls' night out. The quality of the food is excellent. The experience of being with family or friends, grilling the food while socializing was such fun, and everything from appetizers to S'mores was delicious! Trevor, our server, was kind, personable and attentive. He explained the menu and made great recommendations. We are definitely coming back! I highly recommend Gyu-Kaku.More infoGyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ - Charlotte, NC | Second WardPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Charlotte•4.8
- AAnnMareeCharlotte •9 reviews4.0Dined on 8 Oct 2024Sadly the service was lacking. Waitress was quick to return from tables to talk with another waitress, lots of laughter and giggles together. However it took away from the time to bring us drinks. We never received plates until another waiter brought our beverages and saw us using napkins for plates. Waitress didn’t return to table to check on us until we finished dinner. Poor service.More infoRu SansPrice: Moderate• Japanese• Dilworth•4.6
