Best Japanese Restaurants in South Loop

We've lived in Chicago for 20 years and this was our first time dining at Shaw's and boy was it worth the wait! Everything was just perfect. It's a really hard balance, from a service perspective, to be available but also not intrusive. The staff here pulls that off flawlessly! The food was also very good (be sure to get the Au Gratin potatoes as a side). Just an awesome meal, will be back again for a special occasion.

One of our favorite places in Chicago. The service is fabulous and sharing these beautifully curated dishes makes it memorable.

From the moment we walked in and were immediately seated at the requested window table until we departed more than 2 hours later, our experience was impeccable. The staff was accommodating and let two friends catch up on our goings on. I highly recommend the glazed salmon and smoked carrots.

Loved the many tasty vegetarian options. Everything our table had was excellent. Will definitely return.

I should have gotten her name, but all restaurants should have a team leader who knows how to roll with the punches and is willing to take calculated risks to satisfy the maximum amount of customers.
