Best Japanese Restaurants in Northwest Columbus

One of the Top 5 best meals I have eaten in Columbus. Every tour was fresh, thoughtful, and delicious. Spend the little bit extra to dine at the chef’s counter, it’s so worth it to see the chefs in action!

We had the best chef ever. I believe his name is Choy. He was funny, lots of fun and our food was absolutely amazing!!! He even chopped up my 80 year old grandfathers food in smaller pieces for him to chew easier. Literally almost made the whole table cry. We celebrated my mother’s birthday and it was memorable. Our whole table felt like family. Beautiful amazing experience. Thank you so much Chef Choy!!!!

Our server, Joe Meyers, was nothing short of phenomenal. His attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm elevated our night to the next level. Joe’s knowledge of the menu was impressive—he guided us through the best cuts of steak and paired them perfectly with sides and wine recommendations. But what truly set him apart was his personality. He was personable, engaging, and even shared his passion for ice cream, sparking a delightful conversation that added a unique touch to our dinner. If you visit Jeff Ruby’s, ask for Joe Meyers—you won’t regret it. He’s the kind of server who turns a great meal into an extraordinary experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Small restaurant which lends itself to be noisier than you might like at dinner. Service was ok. Had to constantly ask for water. Food was very good.

It was a wonderful experience, the food was delicious. The drinks were amazing... our server was super attentive. We got a table in front of the window with a beautiful view... WONDERFUL... thank you
