- JJuliaWashington, D.C. Area •6 reviews5.0Dined todayMy best friend and I had dinner at this beautiful restaurant, which I would recommend to everyone! The decor and ambiance are warm, modern, and inviting. The aromas from the kitchen greet you the minute you walk in. At that moment, you know you have arrived at the right place. The libations: Drinks: We ordered the spritz and a dirty martini complete with a sidecar and the Japanese house vodka--yummy! The passionfruit spritz is fruity and dry at the same time! The dinner: Aioli grani is a medley of veggies from the farmer's market and tasty aioli. Sweet potato gratin--If this dish were a person, I would marry it. Wow! The balance between the sweet, cheesy, and savory consistency and flavor makes this my favorite of the night. Dry-aged burger and fries: The default for the meat is medium rare, which is a must! The grilled jalapenos added a nice kick! The French fries come with a dijon aioli and curry ketchup are tasty! The service? It was excellent and added much to the overall dining experience.More infoCameliaPrice: Very Expensive• French / Japanese• Arts District•4.6
- HHectorLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIf you're craving authentic Japanese food, Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya in Alhambra is a must-visit! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an authentic vibe that transports you straight to Japan. I started with their famous Japanese meat skewers—absolutely delicious! The yakitori was perfectly grilled, with just the right amount of char and tenderness. The flavors were spot-on, and each skewer was a delightful burst of savory goodness. Next, I had the ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a great depth that comes from hours of careful preparation. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings (from soft-boiled eggs to tender slices of pork) really elevated the dish. It's easily one of the best ramen bowls I've had. To round out the meal, I enjoyed a glass of cold sake. It was smooth and refreshing, a perfect complement to the meal. Overall, everything was great. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly without sacrificing quality. Whether you're a fan of yakitori or ramen, this place does it right. I’ll definitely be back for more!More infoShin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya - AlhambraPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Alhambra•4.7

- MMollyLos Angeles •4 reviews5.0Dined on 21 Nov 2024We have been coming to Shiro's for many years and, once again, they reminded us why this is our favorite "special occasion" restaurant. The food is always excellent -- tasty and beautifully presented. Last night we enjoyed 2 favorites, the salmon tartar tacos and the catfish. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely including the soft jazz piano playing on the sound system.More infoShiro RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• Pasadena•4.9
- VVictorLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined on 17 Nov 2024I came in observance of the launch of a Jujutsu Kaisen mobile game that launched and for one day, Asayoru has made some of menu items Jujutsu Kaisen theme. I ordered the gyodan that wasn't much different than the regular gyodan, it has a sausage on place of an egg to replicate Sakudo's finger. I had the Gojo parfait and it was yummy. It has a vanilla scoop, blue jello, and Pocky. I did enjoy the matcha milk. When I arrived, the cafe was very busy. It holds he same fun atmosphere like it was back at EXP, but it was on a Saturday, so, high chances of availability to go is expected for young adults who work weekdays or go to school can make it on the weekends. I was able to get some Jujutsu Kaisen freebies after sharing the banner for their mobile game on Instagram. I was able to have a good time at Sakurin's birthday event the day after or the day I reviewed my experience. One thing I want to point out is in the second row somewhere in the middle, I felt something hot on my back. I assumed it was the stage light projecting from the back row. I was too focused on the performance to consider finding out.More infoAsayoru Maid CafePrice: Expensive• Creative Japanese• Monterey Park•4.9
