- JJamilaNew York City •4 reviews4.0Dined on 4 Jan 2025The customer service was excellent. The cod fish fritter were salty. The oxtails were tough but tasty. The Gríot was great. The shrimp and grits were good but the grits were hard. The Lychee martini and Lemon drops could use less favor qnd a little more alcohol. They charge gratuity for a party of 3 but it was fine.More infoBamboo WalkPrice: Moderate• Caribbean• Flatbush•4.6
- AAndreaNew York City •1 review5.0Dined on 2 Jan 2025The setting is cozy with a laid back vibe allowing my friend and me to enjoy our conversation. It was the perfect place to be after seeing the Ailey exhibit at the Whitney Museum. Everything from the drinks to our appetizers to our entrees and dessert was delicious. For my appetizers, I had the crab cake, which was perfect. My friend had the pot of steamed mussels, which were tender and juicy. We both enjoyed the escovich branzino that was amazing. For dessert, the hot apple pie was incredible. Only the service was a little slow, but it was a Thursday evening, only one server was working , and we were not in a rush. Chez Omar is now one of my favorite restaurants! I will be back soon and have already started to spread the word.More infoChez OmarPrice: Moderate• French• West Village•4.4
- SShanellNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined on 11 Dec 2024I always enjoy coming to Dunns River. The music is good, the food is amazing and it’s the only sit down Caribbean experience that is top tier compared to the normal hole in the wall establishments with the plex glass separating the customers. Home run for date night. My only wish is that the music isn’t so loud all the time. It’s so hard to have a conversation. I stayed away from Friday & Saturday and picked a weekday date night thinking it would be a quieter background noise kind of night. Nope. We were still shouting at each other. After our meal we ending up walking around in the rain so we could hear each other lol. Something to consider for management maybe.More infoDunns River LoungePrice: Moderate• Jamaican• Rockville Centre•4.5
