Best Italian Restaurants in Oldsmar

We had a wonderful dining experience this evening at Sacred Pepper. Busy evening and we were seated in the Wine Room which is just off to the right of the Hostess station. Big comfy chairs and a roomy environment. The noise level was low considering this room is just before the lounge area when a duo was performing. The service was excellent our waiter was friendly, very pleasant, attentive but yet not intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious from appetizer to dessert. Our favorite cocktails were crafted very well with a water glass that was never empty.

My wife and I stopped by this gem for a Christmas Eve brunch. Borderline breathtaking experience! Everything from the holiday cocktails to the house made pasta was unbelievable. Alex, an absolute legend, provided unparalleled hospitality while connecting with his guests at the same time. Highly recommend this Italian restaurant in Hyde Park, you won’t regret it!

Having been going to Donatello for years. Food experience is always exceptional. Prices have become some of the highest for food in the Tampa Bay Area. Our reservation was made online and had been modified for 6 diners, confirmed through Open Table. The Maitre D seemed surprised by us being 6 diners at our arrival. We were taken to a table set for 5 people. A 6th place was added with a chair and utensils only. Napkin and bread plate had to be asked for twice and bread plate never came. The table was too small to accommodate 6 people, bread, food, drinks and wine. Dinner arrived when we were still eating appetizers, forcing us to rush to finish as there was no room for the food. We asked for a second bread basket which arrived near the end of eating our entrees. It was our daughter's birthday and we ordered dessert and cappuccinos. While the coffee came quickly, and was delicious, dessert arrived 30 minutes after we'd ordered it, after the coffees were finished and only after I reminded a different waiter that we had ordered dessert. We did enjoy the birthday salutation sung in Italian by all the waiters, something the restaurant is known for. The busy holiday season must always bring the restaurant's "A" game, especially at the price point charged, never to be excused for being too busy a time of year or difficult to staff. I was very disappointed for the "C" service experience we received.

We enjoy the meal. They were very busy for a Mondays so I don’t think they staffed for it. We didn’t mind as we were enjoying the time together. The food was delicious.

A top chef serving only the finest food. Going there for 17 years and hard to believe it gets better and better each time. Massimo never disappoints with his Italian and continental master pieces. His servers have been there from day one and that says loads about this romantic gem.
