The fish and pasta were both excellent. I have not been to Gorat's for years but will return soon. I was also very moderately priced for the type of meal we got. it was far less expensive than the other fine steakhouses in the area like J Gilbert, Spencers, Flemings or Mahogany. Our server Christine did a great job making us feel welcome: from getting the manager to find us some light in our very dark booth to checking in on us to make sure we were happy to refilling drinks without our asking. She promised to pace our meal and she delivered. Christine was attentive without being intrusive. The food here does not disappoint. The artichoke and crab dip arrived piping hot. The walleye was tender and flavorful. My son enjoyed the salmon. The restaurant was busy. I am glad the locals appreciate quality food and service.
