Best Italian Restaurants in Baldwin

My family and I visited this well-appointed restaurant for the first time to celebrate Thanksgiving. We all ordered the day's special meal, which included delicious turkey, sweet and white potatoes, stuffing (we wish we had more), and broccoli. We cleaned our plates and further indulged with an order of Tartufo for dessert and hubby with his birthday cheesecake slice, compliments of Tony and his staff. We think we've found our new Thanksgiving tradition at Viaggio Italian Chiphouse, but we plan to return before next Thanksgiving:-) Mangia bene!!

We had a sausage and escarole appetizer which was heavenly. My husband ate a pasta special, he thoroughly enjoyed. I had St. Peter’s fish, as usually it was excellent. The staff is friendly, the owner visits tables to ensure you are happy with your meal. Thanks to all who work at Meta!

It was a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in the door.

We had the special pistachio crusted striped bass and the pecan crusted sole plus the chicken colombo with our friends. We started with a cesar salad and cauliflower bites which were so good. Drinks were perfect. Only issue was the coffee was less than room temperature so basically cold and the person who had it didn’t want to fuss and they didn’t bring out our third dessert with the other two until we asked for it. Granted it was busy and minor issue but figure to mention it. Our server was very sweet and apologetic about the missing dessert (sorbet). All in all great evening!

Packed for a Friday night but great pulse and vibe. We were seated immediately. I gave it one less star in that I felt the tables (for 2) were a little too close to each other. Other than that attentive service. Great food!! We will definitely return!
