Best International Restaurants in York

This was a wonderful experience. My wife and I went for our honeymoon, and the team at Enigma made a great effort to make it special. The food was amazing, the pairings were great, and the staff was probably the best part. The service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was a wonderful expression of a combination of techniques and flavors that made this an all around fantastic meal. We have been to many Michelin starred restaurants, and they don’t always deliver. However I am dumbfounded that Enigma Yorkville only has one star. An absolute must visit, and for us an absolute must revisit.

My husband and I dined here on Christmas Eve for the Old Mill's Famous Christmas Buffet. It was excellent as always. The selection is just enormous and there's everything you could imagine. The Roast Beef and Turkey from the Hot carving station was delicious, along with Yorkshire pudding and fabulous stuffing and cranberry sauce! We never miss this buffet if we are staying at home for Christmas. A big thank you to Karen, our waitress-she is phenomenal! So personal, so attentive and just a lovely person to talk to. Thank you Karen! I look forward to celebrating my birthday tomorrow night at Disco Night at the Old Mill once again with Jay Vasquez and Groove Marmalade! The winter ala carte menu looks great as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night and hello to Karen and all the wonderful dining room staff who work so hard. My brothers and I decided to treat our parents to an anniversary dinner, and the restaurant did an amazing job arranging everything. From start to finish, my parents loved the experience. The food was exceptional, and we’re incredibly grateful to the staff for making the evening so special

This was our first visit and we opted for the bar space. You have the option of a la carte or a five course menu. We totally recommend the five courses option. We started with a cocktail where I had the Daisy and my spouse chose an old fashioned with a twist that had Armagnac. Both were amazing and carefully crafted. The food is beautifully presented and the flavour profiles have been meticulously procured. The service is extremely professional and each course was provided with a proper description of what we would be dining on flavour wise. Absolutely would return without hesitation. Thank you so much to all the staff for the lovely evening.
