Best Greek Restaurants in Passaic

The food was outstanding. We started with a delicious horiatiki salad and then I had the halibut special which was really tasty. Despite the cold weather the ambience is great and you feel warm and welcomed!

The food was absolutely outstanding. We indulged in the Lamb Chops, Sea Bass, Spanakopita, and Crab Cakes. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, bursting with rich, savory flavor. The Sea Bass was incredibly tender, enveloped in a delicate tomato and onion sauce that elevated the dish beautifully. The Spanakopita was wrapped in a perfectly crisp, flaky crust and was utterly delicious. The Crab Cakes were exceptional, with a delightful balance of flavor and texture. The service was top-notch; the staff demonstrated a deep knowledge of the menu and could expertly describe each dish with enthusiasm. However, our only minor concern was that the staff seemed to hover a bit too closely, almost watching our every move. While we truly appreciated their attentiveness, it did create a slightly uncomfortable and overly attentive atmosphere. Be aware that there is not a lot of vegetarian options.

My husband and I decided to go for lunch instead of having dinner at Elia. Marcello was knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. We had a delicious lunch around noon and truly enjoyed the pre fixe menu. Will definitely be coming for lunch again, as we truly enjoyed the quieter and relaxing atmosphere.

Wonderful staff with a variety of options for appetizers and main dishes. They also had a full bar with Greek-inspired cocktails. We got there at 5 and there were only a few tables of people, which was to our liking.

WHat a great additional to the Upper West Side, which used to be a place of good but ordinary food of many often ethnic types. Elea is a game changer. I ate there several times outside during COVID and had no idea the inside is so elegant and un-Upper West Side (if you've lived here for a long time you know what I mean--before the bazillionaires moved in). Anyway, a first-rate restaurant in every way, and the noise level is bearable, as opposed to unbearable, as it is in so many nice restaurants. Thanks.
