Opening their first location in the spring of 1984, Helen Babalos & Thomas Makris brought us Anatoli Souvlaki. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations.In 2011, the family-run restaurant was taken over by their sons Alexi and Iani. Food was great restaurant seemed understaffed with some very large tables. Which probably made the kitchen slow. The calamari had a weird sauce with it which was a bit unexpected. Seemed like mayo with an addition of lemon. Maybe just stick to tsatziki. I would make that request next time Otherwise was all good and what’s to be expected of a higher end Greek restaurant

Great food portions! Lovely place, lighting and setup is amazing. Spacious and comfy. Could get a little loud, if you prefer a quieter place this may not be for you.

Elegant but casual, Selene impressed and delighted. Amazing service and food, and the most elevated Greek salad I’ve ever had. I would also drink the mussel broth on its own, it’s that good. Selene deserves all the success, thank you for a lovely evening!
