    We were able to get a Sunset (5:45-6:30) time slot. Simply beautiful. But anytime is a great water view location. The table-side preparations (& presentation) are lovely and fun! EVERY TABLE had the fresh Lobster bisque by flame, and the complete Caesar salad build. Impeccable service. A must do.

Special thank you to Zack, the line cook who was right in front of us and explained the dishes while never missing a beat while cooking.     If you want to go to one fine dining establishment while in Honolulu, Mugen is it! An intimate, well designed dining room sets the tone. The service is friendly and very professional. Every dish that was served was perfect. This six course dining experience was exceptional. Try the foie gras sandwich...simply the best. All of the service staff and a visit from the chef made the visit a memorable evening. If Michelin ever starts reviewing Hawaii restaurants, Mugen would earn three stars!

    My husband and I had a special dinner here during our honeymoon! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional! Clearly professional as expected from such an esteemed restaurant, but still warm and welcoming. We felt very well looked after. We got the most beautiful table, which elevated the experience further. We ordered the degustation and added on the vanilla soufflé and every dish was delicious and different - it felt familiar yet innovative. We were so so full when we left! Highly recommend!

    One of the best Italian restaurants in Honolulu! Pizza are exceptional so do their pasta. Main courses are also very delicious. Worth Michelin 1-2 stars. Wine list also good selection. Highly recommended
