- NNicoleSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review4.0Dined todayThe drinks came out very, very slow. The place wasn’t too packed and no line outside but they still passive aggressively were trying to push us out after 2 hours even after ordering more food and drinks. Food and drinks tasted amazing. The service not the best, needs work.More infoBon DelirePrice: Expensive• French• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.6

My hangar steak and frites was amazing and the meat cooked just to my liking: medium rare with emphasis on the rare side. Friend indulged on their famous roasted chicken and we both devoured their frites and the delicious baguette of warm bread with melting butter (tempted to order another loaf!). Wonderful luncheon spot that made us feel we were in Paris without jet lag! And kudos to the warm waitstaff! On the way out we saw the big beautiful burger a diner had just ordered and WOW WOW WOW that's what we're going to indulge in next visit.More infoLe CentralPrice: Expensive• French• Downtown / Union Square•4.7
- JJudithVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •57 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe are not newcomers to Absinthe and we are always happy to be there . . . good food, excellent service in a lovely place in the heart of Hayes Valley. Today was especially nice. We had a lovely table in a corner with a view of the street through the front window. The waiter was exceptional and the food was fine. As old friends who hadn't seen each other in a while we enjoyed the quiet in the dining room, so nice to have a conversation. We were celebrating a birthday and exchanging Christmas gifts, our group having missed our usual holiday gathering for not so happy reasons. So we were delighted to be together and it was lovely to be able to sit and visit, unrushed in a place we have always enjoyed.More infoAbsinthe Brasserie and Bar - SFPrice: Expensive• French• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.8

A unique venue and being surrounded by a Julia Morgan designed building is a huge part of the experience. If you want a quiet place to enjoy a meal without restless noisy kids this is it.More infoJulia's RestaurantPrice: Expensive• French• Berkeley•4.7
