One of our favourite go to restaurants. Food was great as always although noticed there are a few supplements to be paid now on certain foods. Eg an additional £20 for fillet steak (it was delicious), an extra £10 for halibut, (it was nice but not worth the extra in my opinion). Only other point was we were told they needed the table back at a certain time which we had no problem with but we had pre booked in advance and we didn’t delay anything, the service was slower than usual but it was busy. We had literally just finished when advised the table was required now. All in all a lovely meal with friends as always. Highly recommend.

I had the chicken tikka masala with salad and the most beautiful chips. The meal was very tasty, and well presented, rather too much for me, but what I didn’t eat was boxed up for me ready to take home. My husband had pie vegetables and chips, full of carbs, but a real treat for him. The plate was soon clean and a very happy husband with a big smile on his face sat opposite me.

We received a voucher for Blackfriars for Christmas. Booking was easy online. We arrived slightly early but our table was ready. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived and enjoyed the background music. Service was very good and we asked if we could mix and match between the menu’s and they said it was fine to do that. We ordered the fish platter to share which was really nice. I ordered the fillet steak, it was perfectly cooked to the way I like it and the chips were amazing, I ordered the beef dripping jus which was delicious. My husband ordered the corn fed chicken, again this was delicious. We had no room for desert so can’t comment on that. My husband also had the larger brewed onsite which he said was very nice. Only fault I would say is they put a service charge of 10% on your bill but it is explained it is not mandatory. Definitely will be back.
