Enjoyed the special night out with my bestie. We did not eat seafood, but enjoyed everything we ate. Strawberry salad, hanger steak, potatoes w pickles, lemon cheesecake. Flavors unexpected but lovely presentations.

The food at Spruce is consistently excellent, as is the service, particularly from Irera last Wednesday. Very attentive and helpful in explaining the various dishes. My husband had the poached Maine lobster as a special, and I had the salmon. Both were prepared and presented beautifully. We had the calvados and coconut gelato for dessert, a unique and refreshing preparation. Another nice feature of Spruce is the ambience. The noise level is just right, particularly for older diners. All in all, a quality fine dining experience.

Beautiful atmosphere..they gave us the vast corner view of Union square..very elegant feeling. Service and waiter was efficient. Ordered petrale sole with Israeli couscous which friends say was good ( looked good!), chopped salad which was plentiful and the huge burger was as advertised. Also don’t forget the the complimentary broth and the popover and the strawberry butter! Would go again even tho prices a tad high.

Great experience even considering the fact that we ate at the bar booth. Kind and attentive service. Unique and decadent dishes. The duck was phenomenal and the potato cloud is a must!

Great tasting foods. Portions are light so you may want an appetizer and/or salad in addition to the meal. Everything was really tasty and cooked perfectly. I’ve been in louder restaurants for sure but I would’ve preferred a little more quiet so that conversations at the table could be held without significant raising of the voice.
