Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Film Row

What a thoughtful and well executed menu. We tried a bit of everything, but if you even kinda-like Brussels sprouts, the Brussels Caesar was the clear winner of the evening. Everything else was varying degrees of delicious, but hands down this is the dish to get every time. Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere is very intimate and I will most certainly be going back to try more of the menu. Only ding on the experience was how little the server really knew about the menu, asked about a dish's ingredients and guy was pretty well clueless. He was very nice but just expected a bit more polish from a restaurant of this caliber. Certainly still a 5 star review, he may have just be a new employee. In any event, what a neat little gem of a restaurant and honestly felt like the prices were a great value for the taste and execution the kitchen sends out.

My wife and I went for our anniversary, and she loved it. Rudy was our server, and he was great. We had the shrimp cocktail, I had the duck breast, and my wife had the filet. The duck and filet were fine but lacked flavor. We were disappointed in the shrimp cocktail, which is why I gave the food a 4. If you want to see what a shrimp cocktail should be, head to Cattleman's. The service, though, was outstanding. Our dinner took two hours, but it flew by. We never felt wanting. As a bonus, our dessert and glasses of champagne were comped. Nice touch on our anniversary. We will most definitely be back. Just won't get the shrimp cocktail. Wink wink!

We were 30 minutes late for our reservation and in a big rush once we got there, but the staff was very accommodating and we made it to the Nutcracker on time. And our food was delicious!

Wow. This was a great experience. The service was warm and attentive. The food was full of depth and flavor, as well as being familiar and yet unexpected. I loved the interplay of Asian elements into traditional Southern/Oklahoman cuisine, such as with the main course of Chicken Fried Steak.

This was a dinner with friends that was a very special time for us. We knew it had to be Vast! It did not fail expectations. The ambience was just what we all needed. The steaks as always were perfect. In celebration we had their new cosmo and it was a lovely surprise. With a nice wine paired with our dinner, time for conversation in an elegant quiet, it was the wonderful evening adding another Vast memory.
