- JJerryWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined todayWe were celebrating my wife’s birthday. We were greeted with “Happy Birthday (wife’s name) written on a blackboard in the reception area. We had requested a quiet table when we booked and we were thoughtfully accommodated. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and attentive. All in all, it was a great evening.More infoLIA'SPrice: Moderate• Italian• Chevy Chase•4.6

- LLauraVIPAtlanta Metro •9 reviews5.0Dined on 1 Jan 2025Our recent visit to Founding Farmers was exceptional, offering a delightful culinary journey that pleased the entire family. We began by sharing the Buttermilk Biscuits and a medley of autumn vegetables. The biscuits were impressively large, featuring a crunchy exterior that gave way to a soft, fluffy center—truly a perfect start to our meal. For the main courses: •Youngest Son: Opted for the Sirloin Chili, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The chili boasted a balanced spiciness, making it both flavorful and approachable. •Mom: Chose the Goat Cheese Ravioli & Chicken Cutlet, a dish accompanied by butternut squash purée and pecan praline butter. The combination was exquisite, earning a solid 9.7/10 for its harmonious flavors and presentation. •Dad: Selected the Farmhouse Platter, which included fried chicken, BBQ pork ribs, baby cheeseburgers, street corn, and coleslaw. He cleared his plate, a testament to the meal’s excellence. •Teenager: Enjoyed the Meatloaf & Gravy, served with mashed potatoes and green beans. He expressed high praise for the dish, noting its rich flavor and satisfying portion. Even the house-made sodas were delightful, adding a refreshing touch to our dining experience. Our waiter, Anthony, provided outstanding service, enhancing our meal with his attentive and friendly demeanor. The food was so impressive that we decided to purchase the restaurant’s cookbook to recreate some of the dishes at home. Founding Farmers offers a warm atmosphere, exceptional service, and delectable farm-to-table cuisine. It’s a dining experience we highly recommend and look forward to repeating.More infoFounding Farmers DC: Foggy BottomPrice: Moderate• American• Foggy Bottom•4.5
- MmalWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews4.0Dined on 28 Dec 2024Maggiano Chevy Chase was pretty good overall. It’s been a while since we have been but notice an increase in price. Everything was good for the most part. I have an issue with the salad. The Maggiano’s salad which is now close to $17 for the entree portion. The amount of the salad was so underwhelming. A salad doesn’t cost them a lot to make but to charge $17 for it is just crazy. I had to get 2 salads to make a full meal. I did take a little home but for it to be enough for a meal cost me about $34, I could have gotten something else for that much but because I love that salad I got the salad. We had 7 people, each got a meal, I had 2 salads and we ordered 2 appetizers for the table, and 3 iced tea The total bill with tip came to $345. That is crazy for what we got. That’s close to $50 per person. The waiter (Marvin) was attentive, always there asking us if we need anything.More infoMaggiano's - Chevy ChasePrice: Moderate• Italian• Friendship Heights•4.4
