Best Bistros in Madison

We were staying at the Hyatt and didn’t want to go far for dinner. Pretty typical bar food menu. Service was great. We had Caesar salad - which was very good, and tavern burgers which were good. Given how parking is in this area I wouldn’t make a special trip. If you live close by and enjoy the bar scene, you’ll enjoy it here.

We were well attended to, there was a very friendly guy, I don't remember his name, but he was very attentive, he offered to take pictures, and he takes good pictures! When I return to New York, I will return to this restaurant!

It’s always an amazing experience at The Garlic Rose. They have unbelievable service and food consistently. I’ve never been disappointed in all my years dining here. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic meal out.

The pizza is excellent the main reason we go. We have ordered some of the dinner specials and really enjoyed them as well. The tables are too small and it takes maneuvering glasses dishes and utensils and condiments to eat however it’s still cramped. They are always busy so be prepared to be rushed so they can turn over a table. We were still sitting at our table when they set up a second table onto our table and started moving our coat and purse off our chair to work around us. 4th time eating there and 3 out of 4 times I felt rushed but the food is very good pizza is great and everyone is friendly.
