Best Belgian Restaurants in Columbus Circle

Everything was great but I was expecting more from the mussels; no issue at all with the preparation and the fries were terrific but the mussels themselves were a bit small and just not wow. Had better mussels at a Greek restaurant in the city the next day, wish BXL would have had the same ones. Again, I am talking about the ingredient, not the preparation, the seasoning was on point. Hopefully this was a one off. Fantastic cheese croquettes, bitter balls, and outstanding Brussels waffle. Wonderful Belgian beer selection. Great bar-like atmosphere and warm and engaging host.

Pretty place, and obviously popular. Noise level is awful, even in the garden. I was disappointed in the food, as the place was recommended for the food. The French Toast was dry, and not soaked enough or just not enough egg. The omelette was average. It took a long time to get our starter coffees, and at that time the were not full. Later, it became very bus and I know it was harder for the staff.

Seems to be a hidden gem on 43rd St. Their onion soup was very tasty. We shared a pot of mussels and frites. Missing was hard, crusty bread for the broth. Otherwise very delicious and one pot was shareable. We finished with chocolate mousse and cappuccino. A very lively dining experience.
