The Devonshire tea would have to be the best value in Melbourne. $15 per person for bottomless tea and coffee, two large fluffy, perfect scones, served with delicious peach Melba jam and divine double cream is extraordinary. Architecturally, this building is quite intriguing. Enormous windows to enjoy the beautiful trees and dappled sunlight, stylish wave-shaped batten ceilings, skylit panels, and second hand red bricks walls create a feeling of warmth and luxury. The service is exceptional - always aware, but never intruding. Looking forward to our next visit already!More infoCoombe Yarra ValleyPrice: Expensive• Modern Australian• Coldstream•4.8

It was like being Alice in Wonderland, the setting, the music , the staff and the food are like nothing you have ever experienced before. Rony and his team are exceptional and there is such a joy that comes with this whole dining experience that you have to see it to believe it. This has become our top restaurant ever! WOW. Thank you so very much.More infoShelanousPrice: Very Expensive• Australian• Port Melbourne•5
- SSimonMelbourne •2 reviews5.0Dined on 23 Dec 2024I had a memorable evening meal here. After stupidly eating a big lunch, I went for some lighter options. The oysters with mango and jalapeno were a gorgeous start, and the terrine was particularly good. Very respectful, polite service, friendly, and attentive without me feeling at all bothered. Nice decor and interesting art on the walls. I hadn't eaten Sturia Oscietra caviar before, but this was a special ocassion, so I splashed out. And I wasn't disapppointed. It was sensational - the kind of thing that makes you close your eyes and groan with each mouthful. The smoked sour cream was a lovely addition, though I went lightly with it to best enjoy the amazing melt-in-the-mouth feeling and complex flavour of the caviar. Without the aditional cost of the caviar, the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. I only wish I'd had enough appetite left for desert. Can't wait to return and try some of the heavier dishes.More infoFreyjaPrice: Expensive• Australian• Melbourne CBD•4.7

We didn’t have any dedicated waiting staff so didn’t get to develop any repartee / relationship which often enhances the night. The sommelier young man was the exception and therefore great … we had little conversations with him during the wine selection times …. He was great - having said that there was lots of serving staff 2. in the past we had heard (and was looking forward) to going into a real garden to show some of the produce used so quite disappointing to be lead to an enclosed box out the back either lots of little standing tables for guestsMore infoAtticaPrice: Very Expensive• Australian• Ripponlea•4.9
