- TTorreyvipWashington, D.C. Area •29 reviews5.0Dined on 10 Nov 2024Our lunch at Shimai was absolutely delicious. The chicken wings and special duck buns were amazing as was the miso edamame guacamole. Plus the atmosphere was cozy and quiet, perfect for a Sunday lunch in November. Our server was kind and attentive. We highly recommend this little gem in Munich!More infoShimaiPrice: Moderate• Asian• Augustenstraße•4.8
- DWDirkWLondon •2 reviews4.0Dined on 19 Jan 2024The food was nice but a little too expensive. Service was fantastic until the end when they completely forgot about the green tea that I had ordered, but included it in the bill. It was subsequently removed. Also, almost €5 for a cup of green tea?!? In London, the Japanese restaurants give you green tea for free. I was not expecting a freebie, but could also not see justification for spending €5 for a cup of tea. Try the soft shell crab and the spring rolls for starters and definitely the duck for the main. The entrecote beef dish that my husband ordered was very average. He didn't even finish it. The wine was awful. My husband did not like the glass of Primitivo that he was first given, so requested another wine instead. But they still charged almost €8 for the glass that he did not drink which was not very nice. The bill for the two of us with him having 1 glass of wine, no alcohol for me and a large bottle of water to share was roughly €100. I would try their sushi next time. Seems to be very popular.More infoIchi Ban-RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Sushi• Trudering-Riem•4.4
