- GGeraldineLos Angeles •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe best prime rib dinner we've had in like forever! Thick and juicy, medium rare was the best and not over salted or fatty. We had the creamed corn, spinach, mashed potatoes, gravy and the Yorkshire Pudding. We started with the wedge salad with roquefort dressing with big chunks of bacon. We had creme brûlée for dessert and the hot fudge sundae. We loved Tam O' Shanter and will return again to celebrate!!! The waiters were very observant and knew when we needed ice tea refills, attended to our needs and were friendly and respectful. Ambience was quiet, intimate, low key, we went there in the early afternoon so it was quiet. We definitely will go back and highly recommend this place with the best food, ambience, staff and plenty of parking.More infoTam O'ShanterPrice: Moderate• American• Los Feliz•4.5
- JJessicaVIPLos Angeles •21 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe started with their Paint and Sip session from 12 to 2 PM, which was an absolute blast. The ambiance was creative and relaxing, and the staff ensured we had everything we needed to unleash our inner artists. It was such a fun and unique way to bond with my mom and Gabby—lots of laughs, a little paint flipping, and beautiful keepsakes to take home! After exploring the lively Universal CityWalk, we came back at 5 PM for dinner, and Five on the Hill absolutely wowed us. The chef’s gift, a stunning Oaxacan-inspired chile relleno with butternut squash purée, crème fraîche, and pomegranate arils, was a masterpiece—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My mom adored the Elf’s Pumpkin Pot Pie, a heartwarming dish with tender chicken and flaky puff pastry served in a petite pumpkin—it was pure comfort on a plate. And let’s not forget the lobster tacos—delicate, flavorful, and a perfect way to indulge! From the creative vibes at the Paint and Sip to the unforgettable culinary experience, Five on the Hill made our Universal City adventure truly remarkable.
