Built in 1790 as a barn and named for local farmer John Kittle, the farm to table connection that began back then continues today at Crabtree's Kittle House. Internationally renowned for its Wine Spectator Grand Award wine list, superlative hospitality and contemporary American cuisine, it is a sophisticated country dining experience located only 45 minutes from Manhattan. Whether stopping in for a casual meal in the Tap Room or planning a formal intimate celebration from 2 to 200 guests, you'll find something for everyone and every occasion at Crabtree's Kittle House. The culinary team focuses on the local bounty of the Hudson Valley, from salads, burgers, & fresh cold shellfish to more refined cuisine, available in both the Tap Room, Main Dining Room and Ivy Hill Room.     This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been coming here for over 30 years. The food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent . The atmosphere is warm and cozy. You can’t go wrong here

    We celebrated my husband’s birthday. The staff was attentive, food was excellent. We did not feel rushed. It was a great experience. We’ve been here before many years ago and had the same great experience The wine list is excellent and reasonable.

    All three courses were excellent! Both of our dinners were amazing. The waitstaff was also excellent. Great service; very accommodating. It was a very enjoyable evening.

    Delicious, well prepared food. Good portion size. Tender meat. Pasta homemade. Dishes prepared not too heavy. Excellent quality ingredients. Pricey, but well worth it for special occasions.

    I’ve been to Crabtree Kittle House well more than a dozen times over the years and it has long been one of my favorite restaurants in the County. This evening I came for restaurant week, so as to value, it was top notch. If I’d been paying full boat however, it would’ve been quite the disappointment. My fiancé ordered the Branzino and I the short rib. Both were properly cooked, but each were woefully underseasoned. For dessert, we both had the apple crisp. It was sorely lacking in apple, and the “crisp” failed to offer discernible flavor. In their defense, I understand they are under new management, so perhaps any shortfall can be attributed to the growing pains of a transition.

    Very good food. Solid. Good portions. Loved the restaurant week menu. Lived no upcharges and drinks were priced fairly. Service was excellent.
