   NYE at Chops was extremely disappointing. I enjoy going to many high end restaurants in Palm Beach County and have had very good experiences previously at Chops. When I received my bill, I noticed I was incorrectly charged for wine that my party didn't have. When I questioned the waiter, he indicated that these charges were from an open bar tab that was transferred to my dinner bill. I instructed the waiter that I paid my bar tab with a credit card prior to getting seated at our table. He said he would have to check with a manager prior to any adjustments. A manager came to my table to discuss the bill dispute and he said he would check with the bartenders. When he came back to the table, he confirmed that I paid a tab, but the bartenders indicated that I had a second tab that was not paid. The manager appeared satisfied with the explanation from his bartenders. I told him that I wasn't paying for drinks that I didn't have and that he should call the police, because I am not paying the additional charge. He then indicated that, calling the police wouldn't be necessary and he would look to see what he could do. He came back to me with the disputed charges removed the bill and we considered it closed. The manager was polite at all times, however, If the bartenders indicated that I had 2 bar bills, I should have been shown the details of each bill to help resolve the issue. In addition, If I go to any restaurant, and I have a open tab at the bar, in which they are in possession of my credit card, and I ask to close out my tab, I expect ONE bill, not TWO. The incident offended me and my party. I was left feeling that Chops did me a favor by "adjusting" my bill.

   Chops was great for new years! This is our second new years at Chops and it didnt dissapoint. First rate service and exceptional food. Steaks were done exactly as ordered, lamb chops so tender and flavorful.

   The food, the service the ambience will all wonderful, but it's very distracting to have the singer in the bar be so loud throughout the night and the background music being loud as well. Makes it a little bit hard to have conversations.

   We had a wonderful experience overall. There was live entertainment which was pleasant. The food was pricey, but very delicious. Most of the staff was extemely helpful and cordial. The only complaint i have the the waiter who served us. We had to ask multiple times for water, ice, butter. Although very polite, he was mostly unavailable and difficult to locate. Did not check on us see if we needed anything. The food and ambience were delightful and appreciated.

   Our family has been dining at Chops in Boca Raton for over 15 years. It’s been a staple for our gatherings, often with groups of 10 or more. Sadly, the quality of service has steadily declined over the years, and our most recent visit was the worst experience we’ve ever had. It took 40 minutes just to receive our drinks and an astonishing 55 minutes before bread was brought to the table. What made the situation worse was the lack of acknowledgment or accountability from the staff. There were no apologies for the delays—only an attitude of anger and entitlement when we politely inquired about the service. We weren’t asking for much, just basic courtesy and respect. For a restaurant with such a long-standing reputation, this level of service is unacceptable. It’s heartbreaking to see a place we’ve cherished for years fail to meet even the simplest expectations. Until Chops can address its service issues, we cannot recommend it to anyone seeking an enjoyable dining experience.
