   We had a 9 o’clock reservation and got there at 8:30. We were seated at 10. The restaurant was over booked and many customers kept complaining about the wait. Other than that, the food, service, and drinks were excellent.

   Because we had come to this restaurant last year when we were visiting between Christmas and New Year’s, we made a reservation nine days in advance of our trip. Our kids knew how much we loved it so they bought us a gift certificate to the restaurant for Christmas. We had a reservation for 7:45 PM on Sunday night and we arrived at 7:35. We didn’t get sat until almost 10 after nine. The restaurant was already packed full our but there weren’t near as many people waiting so we didn’t think it would take too long. Then we watched a ton more people come in after us, packing in everywhere with barely any standing room. Several even got sat before us which was very frustrating. It seemed the restaurant had booked many more than they had tables to accommodate. Normally we would just leave and try to go somewhere else, but we felt trapped and couldn’t leave since it was our last chance to use the gift certificate. I will say the manager comped a bottle of wine (house)and gave us dessert for free so that helped but it was such a frustrating experience, that is the minimum of what should’ve happened. The food was good, but I couldn’t eat my steak, which I asked for medium, and came out rare. I got it boxed to go and bought a styrofoam cooler to bring home with us and since we drove to New Orleans. I highly recommend calling this restaurant if you have a reservation to see if they are overbooked they had no explanation for why that happened.

   I am a local and this is one of my favorite restaurants. I was celebrating my birthday. However, this time it was subpar. We had a 7pm reservation, and waited 40 minutes to be seated after checking with the hostess 3 times. Yes, they were busy. But I've been here many times when they are busy and it never affects the service or my reservation. Our waiter was slow in getting to us, but was very cordial. After ordering a few drinks and conversation, we ordered and waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for the food. This is not who Chophouse is. Very disappointing and our waiter did not keep us informed why they were running behind. Food was excellent as it usually is and steaks cooked to perfection, but we had to wait! A 3 hour dining experience that should have been about 1 1/2 hours. I guess they just had an "off night", but there are equally excellent steak restaurants in the city, and I'll be going there in the future. It will be a while before I return. Oh yes, it was very noisy and hard to have conversations at the table. The piano player is nice but added to the noise.

   Our waiter was fantastic and our food was great. Really everything was wonderful once we were seated. However a 45 minute wait when you have an early reservation is a bit of a turn off.

   Had a wonderful experience at Chophouse! We were seated a few minutes early for our reservation. The singer in the bar was wonderful. We split the lyonnaise, asparagus, and salad. My husband had a delmonico steak and I had a filet. Melt in your mouth good. We will be back!

    We had a reservation at 7:45pm. But we have to wait 1 hour 10 mins (9pm) for our table. This never happened to me before. They do tell us that they are running 30 mins behind. If they told us that we have to wait 1+ hour, we would have left!
