Chicago Cut Steakhouse is one of Chicago’s most iconic dining experiences in a city that boasts dozens of options for steak-centric dining. Our downtown Chicago steakhouse offers guests a selection of signature, USDA-certified prime beef that is hand-cut and dry-aged on site. Our curated menu also features fish, shellfish, chops and a selection of unique side dishes and appetizers. In addition to delicious martinis and specialty cocktails, Chicago Cut offers a wine list with more than 600 bottles that has been highlighted Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine. Our dining area features a lively bar scene, vibrant red velvet banquettes and spacious dining tables, private dining options and beautiful, sweeping views of the Chicago River. In the warm months, we also open our sprawling outdoor dining patio, which makes Chicago Cut an excellent spot for an outdoor brunch, lunch or dinner reservation along the river.

    The food was decent, the service was very intrusive—I was there on a business lunch and interrupted every three minutes. The ambient noise caused me to be a lip reader.

    Ooo party of three was completely disappointed. After dining at Chicago Cut numerous times since it opened, the food was very bad quality last night. The service was not much better. We had to ask the waiter three times if he could tell us the specials on the board. The noise level was very loud as usual, but the food has always been delicious. Last night, the pea soup was bad, brussels sprouts were undercooked. The salmon was undercooked. The Keylime pie graham cracker crust could not be cut with a steak knife.  Perhaps there was somebody new in the kitchen. Although a frequent business lunch and dinner diner I don’t think I will be going back.

    We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and the service was exceptional. Matthew, our server, was knowledgeable and polite. Everyone on the service team just did a fantastic job tending to their customers. The only mishap we had was that they couldn’t get the doneness right on my husband’s steak. And they tried twice to fix it but after all was said and done, it was comped, which is greatly appreciated. Jason, who I believe is one of the managers, helped us with that and was polite and professional as well. While it was a bit disappointing about the steak, everything else was great.

    I made a reservation to celebrate an important birthday with my spouse. We requested river view which they did not honor which was especially heartbreaking since it was an early reservation and the window was available. We also felt very rushed which I did not appreciate while celebrating a special day. The food is good; however, for $400 (included tip) for two people, appetizers, two drinks, food, and a shared dessert—you can definitely do better within a 1-mile radius.

    Had a great time. Got there when it was not busy and spent 3 hours just having an enjoyable time. Love seeing the downtown lights come on and the staff is awesome.
