   Carlo and Johnny's is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Cincinnati. We can't wait until our next time dining with them.

   We dined to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Megan was our server and she was outstanding! She is so friendly and knowledgeable of all the menu items. She isvery relaxed and didn’t push us through our meal, so we had plenty of time to enjoy our dinner. As an appetizer, she recommended the Herbstreit sushi roll, which was delicious!! As always, every course is a large size, so things are quite shareable for two people. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Megan and hope to request her as our server in the future.

   My steak was slightly overcooked, but not bad enough to send it back and have them throw it out. I also thought the topping was extremely spicy. Everything else was good. Excellent service. Nice ambiance (especially for Christmas), but it got a bit loud around 7:30pm.

   We had to wait over 90 minutes to be served. That was entirely too long. Then, the manager only offered a desert.

   Chris our server was great but as the evening wore on he did become a little hard to find. But always nice when he was there. But requests did take a couple times asking. Food in all the times we have been there it has never been like this. First I appreciate a little time in between courses but after salad we sat there an extremely long time with no offer of refills or anyone checking. After a total of 2 hours since sitting our food arrived. 3 out of 3 steaks cooked completely wrong. Salmon cool, kids burger not cooked all the way through and spaghetti cold on another dish. Pork chop rare not medium. Sides were not up to their normal standard. I know people come to have a good time but a party directly behind was so loud and annoying we could not even hear people at our table. After the food came back out it was 2.5 hours and steaks were still not right and looked very bad after the recook. I spoke with manager and he was very understanding and another manager came over and said they would be picking up our check. I am grateful for that but it doesn’t change the fact this wasn’t about money. This was about trusting them to provide what we thought would be a wonderful celebration for my daughter’s birthday. Almost 3 hours later yes we left with a dessert but it was an extremely disappointing evening. Finally yes they were kind enough to not charge us but it did not give us back the time that was wasted. However I was grateful my family was together but I just know my son who had not been there before will not go back. We have almost $1000 in gift cards between us and not sure we will be using them. Going to be a very long time before I will feel comfortable going back. I am 69 years old and I know things happen and I know we were fortunate the management understood our feelings but I wonder is this the new standard for Jeff Ruby like so many others.
